Study places in the libraries
The KIT library offers various types of study places both in the main building and in the institute libraries. Depending on requirements, these are individual or group places. For parents there is a special parent-child study room. There are also study areas in the Learning Center at the Fasanschlösschen and in the Badische Landesbibliothek. Free study and work places at all these facilities can be viewed online.
In addition, the KIT library offers important information for first-year students, including guided tours and courses.
LABORE: offers of the House of Competence
The LABORE offers of the House of Competence are aimed at students of all disciplines. This means that anyone who is currently enrolled at KIT can visit them. The offers are free of charge.
If you have problems with learning, LernLABOR shows you how to make the learning phase more enjoyable with exercise, relaxation and nutrition, among other things. It is decided on an individual basis which LernLABOR offers are the right ones for each individual to deal with learning more efficiently. LernLABOR also offers a learning partner exchange to bring students together to study, write or work on exercise sheets.

In the courses and open consultation hours of the MethodenLABOR you can get answers to these questions and get to know and use different methods.
The SchreibLABOR offers help with writing academic papers. Students receive a comprehensive range of free advice on writing and phrasing. In addition to seminars, this also includes face-to-face advice from peer tutors and an extensive range of online services.
